With
today's PC getting more and more sophisticated, the need for power is at its all
time high. Central Processing Unit alone can draw more than 70Watts of power.
With that came Thermaltake's answer: the 480W Silent Purepower Series of Power
Plant boosts 480Watt of power (550Watt Peak Output) at a noise level of only
17dBA.
In order to keep
the noise level down, Thermaltake has incorporated its own Noise Control System
and also with dual fan to increase the thermal performance. The Noise Control
System automatically adjusts the fan unit to run at low speed when temperature
is cool and to speed up when it senses higher temperature: 1300RPM @ 25°C ~
4800RPM @ 80°C.
User
also has the ability to override the Noise Control System, thus enabling the
Manual Speed Control through the VR Control Knob from the PCI Card Slot or from
5.25" Bay Drive.
One important
note to mention is the newly Serial Advanced Technology Attachment (ATA) storage
interface for hard-disk drives and ATA Packet Interface (ATAPI) devices are
expected to replace the current Parallel ATA interface. That's why
Thermaltake made a special point to include a Serial ATA power in this Power
Supply. One step ahead of rest of the PS out in the market now, so your
don't fall behind.
Aside from its
enriched features, 480W Purepower also comes in a very distinctive design. The
aluminum side-plate with "X" logo makes it one of the most attractive
Power Supply Units on the market to date. This particular unit is available in
two colors: Anodized Black with Silver Aluminum Side-Plate & Anodized Silver
with Black Aluminum Side-Plate.
480W Silent
Purepower is compatible with the most current technology that requires +3.3V
output and ATX Logic On-Off power rocker switch.
