That's 1 Slim CD Bay + 1 Floppy Bay, + Another CD Bay (and/or any half ht. 5.25 device) + 6 x 3.5 Removable HD Bay = Total of 9 Drive Bay. Removable HD Bay backplane comes in 3 flavors: IDE (PATA), SATA (Serial ATA), & SCSI (SCA 80pin). Now you can do what you really wanted to do in a 4U Rack Mount Case but only takes up a 2U Space.
